BEAT IT

I’m wearing the red 3.1 Phillip Lim cadet jacket mentioned in an earlier post. This jacket is amazing, I wish I could wear it more often. My new job’s dress code is very casual/hip/boho so it doesn’t go with the environment I’m in on a daily basis. I found the jacket at Nordstrom Rack during their designer sale and got a really good deal- saved 40%!! I later saw the same jacket on net-a-porter.com selling at original price (hell yea). I normally don’t like to wear red (it’s not exactly on my color wheel), but I had to make an exception for this piece which I fell in love with. It looks great buttoned or left open and I can wear it with skinny pants or even a dress.
The cadet/military/band jacket was made a fashion statement by mister beat it himself, when he was still cool, sane, and not so scary. The military-style jacket popped back up in collections like Balmain and 3.1 Phillip Lim in Spring 2009. Britney Spears’ even got her own version for her Circus tour, which doesn’t compare to Michael Jackson’s sparkly duds.

I was gonna say that you look like Michael Jackson!!!
