Although, I have not caught too much of her show on MTV I know that Alexa Chung is gorgeous, witty and fun.  She has an irreverent sense of style that is accessible and she can basically rock anything.

My friend, Bonnie, gave me Dengue Fever’s “Venus on Earth” album over a year ago and I am ever so grateful she introduced me to this band.  It’s a melting pot of psychedelic rock, Cambodian 60s pop rock, and Ethiopian jazz.  I apologize for the network’s plug in the beginning of the music video, but this is a good rendition of the song.  The set-up, lighting, and overall mood of the performance reminds me so much of modern Cambodian rock bands that play in Long Beach today.  I find this band very inspiring and I can’t wait to see them live!!

I love every piece in this editorial down to the bodysuit and the mummy-wrapped white stilettos. Magdelana looks gorgeous in the editorial and she’s rockin’ the Givency S/S 09 Edwardian dress!!  My favorite part of the dress is the gigantic chain neck piece that looks like it weighs as much as she does.  I bet you feel like a goddess wearing it, though.  I’m on the hunt for a beautiful chain-embellished dress, but it seems like a good DIY project if I can just get my hands on a beautiful dress and some nice chains…

The LV Fall 09 collection designed by Marc Jacobs is beautiful.  The clothes, shoes and of course bags are coveted by many.  But, what I adore most about the collection is the hair in the cutsie wutsie ballerina buns!!  I would love to have my hair tied up and away from my face if it were in an effortless bun on the very top of my head.  I mean, even the flyaways are sexy!!  I’ve tried doing this bun look, but my hair doesn’t look as soft and clean as it is here!  I need to borrow the hair stylist from the show, but til then I’m working on it myself.  This ballerina bun would be so perfect for summer days and nights out!  I even like the bow in the shape of bunny ears on Lily Donaldson.  Lovesss.

I was reading the Free People blog and I saw these hilarious pictures of people wearing hand-printed hooded sweatshirts made by Clinton van Gemert in NYC.  Apparently, the idea came about off a coffee buzz and now he’s made it into a one-man show.  I really like the Audrey Hepburn hoodie or the crying baby hoodie (so me).  They’re about $50 a piece and really funny.  It’s perfect for those moments when you want to be disengaged from the world, but not taken too seriously either.  Ok, it’s final, the pink crying baby hoodie in xs is now on my wish-list.

I just wanna be free spirited just like these gals! Jumping and skipping around town! Don’t you ever wish you can wear whatever you want without getting wierd looks from across the street? Sometimes I wish I didn’t care…but the reality is I do. I must say that whenever I look through these fashion editorials I always wonder when would you ever wear these outragous outfits. Yes, they’re fun but when? Can they be worn to a club? Is it an everyday outfit? Who knows. But…all I know is I would like to wear one of these outfit out and about. Who know one of these days. Maybe in one of my post to come. Now that’s a thought…
